One thing that I learned is that the lighting should not be too light so you can not see anything. If it is too dark then you also can not see anything so you have to find just the right balance.

For this assignment we had to follow a list of detailed steps. It was vital that you followed these steps and did not make any shortcuts or it would mess up the whole assignment. We had to take a picture and edit it in Photoshop to make it different colors and so there were multiple pictures in the frame. What I learned in this assignment is how to correctly use Photoshop and how to carefully and precisely follow a set of directions. I enjoyed getting to be creative and getting to work on my photo editing skills. In the future I would like to get faster and have fewer mistakes being made so I the photos I edit will turn out better faster.
For my second photo shooting assignment my focus is going to be events. My goal for this weeks photo is for the picture to tell a story but not to be to vague or tell too much though the picture. I want to leave enough room for the viewers imagination to make up some of the story but not all of it.
For photo one I took pictures of pumpkin donuts that I made for a church event. I love pumpkin donuts not just because they look and taste amazing, because they remind me of fall and all the beautiful colors. For my first picture (the one above) the shutter speed is 1/125 and the aperture is 2.7. For my second photo the shutter speed was 1/50 and the aperture was 2.7. For my third photo my shutter speed was 1/30 and my aperture was 4.0. For my fourth photo my shutter speed was 1/60 and my aperture was 2.7. For my last photo my shutter speed 1/50 and my aperture was 2.7. For my first photo one assignment I learned that you should make sure that the resolution is good before you take lots of pictures so your pictures are not blurry. Also I learned that when you have a good background it draws more attention to the subjects.
For my first photo shooting assignment my topic that I want to focus in on is food specifically pumpkin donuts. My goal is to get better at adjusting the ISO and shutter speed to just the right combination so my picture is not grainy or washed out.
Photo one aperture 3.4. Photo two aperture 5.0. Photo three aperture 6.3. Photo four aperture 8.0. I was trying to accomplish showing different settings of aperture. I took photos of the flags in the gym because it showed good depth of field.
Photo one with a shutter speed of 1/8. Photo two with a shutter speed of 1/30. Photo three with a shutter speed of 1/125. Photo four with a shutter speed of 1/200. In shutter speed I was showing how a slower shutter speed makes an image clearer and darker. Were a faster shutter speed makes the picture lighter and more blurry.
For this assignment we had to take picture of different types of compositions. The different types of compositions were color, space, framing, perspective, and balance. Color is the flower design. Space is the coffee against the wall. framing is me in a mirror. perspective is the water bottle. Lastly balance is the people against the wall with cameras. This assignment was enjoyable because I gt to be creative and use my imagination.

I took this class because I enjoy photography and the classroom environment. For me personally I have very little experience with cameras I usually take them off my phone so this is all very new to me. Looking farther into the school year I am looking forward to learn more about photography. |
